How our online quote works

  1. Upload your STL — our pricing engine slices it and shows an estimate in seconds, no account needed.
  2. Pick a material and colour, tune settings like infill and walls, and see the price update.
  3. An operator reviews your file and confirms the final price — only then do we request payment, by secure Yoco card link or EFT.
  4. Your part is printed and couriered with tracking — a flat R100 anywhere in South Africa.

What does 3D printing cost?

Two things drive the price: the material your part uses and how long it takes to print. Small prints are covered by a R50 order minimum; delivery is always a flat R100. Typical from-prices — upload your file for an exact quote:

3D printing questions, answered

What file format do I upload?

STL files up to 50 MB. Upload your model on the quote page and our pricing engine analyses it in seconds — no account needed. If your file is in another format (STEP, OBJ, 3MF), export it as STL from your CAD package or contact us and we'll help.

How is the price of a 3D print calculated?

Price is driven by the material your part uses (grams of filament) and how long it takes to print, based on your chosen settings like infill and wall count. You see an instant estimate when you upload; an operator reviews every job and confirms the final price before any payment is requested. Prints start from R50.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Courier delivery is a flat R100 anywhere in South Africa, with tracking. Most orders are dispatched within about 48 hours of payment. Johannesburg and Pretoria typically arrive in 1–2 business days, Durban in 2–3, and Cape Town in 2–4.

How do I pay?

Once your price is confirmed you receive a secure Yoco payment link — Visa, Mastercard and Amex are accepted. EFT is also available. You only pay after we've reviewed your file and confirmed the final price.

How do I track my order?

Every order gets an order number like LC-2607-K4F7, emailed to you when you place it. Enter it with your email address on the Track Order page to follow your print through review, payment, printing and shipping.

Which material should I choose?

PLA is the best all-rounder for models, prototypes and indoor parts. PETG is tougher and handles moisture — good for functional parts. ABS and ASA handle heat and outdoor use. TPU is flexible, for gaskets and phone-case-like parts. If you're unsure, start with PLA or ask us.

Is there a minimum order?

Small prints are simply priced at a R50 minimum per order, plus the flat R100 courier fee. There's no minimum quantity — one-off parts are exactly what we're set up for.

Where we deliver
